A travel agent's role is a customer-focused position offering a fully comprehensive travel service to the public for their holiday and travel requirements. The ability to build strong relationships with clients to develop confidence and trust in order to maintain a long-term working relationship is imperative. Your dedicated customer role is vital and seen as essential in achieving company objectives ensuring Murray Travel exceeds customer expectations.
Your duties will include:
- Arranging flights, insurance, accommodation and any holiday extras
- Use experience to offer advice and recommendations to clients on various destinations
- Using a booking system to secure holidays or liaise with tour operators for more tailor-made arrangements
- Completing CRM to record Leads/Enquiries/Bookings
- Collecting and processing payments within time standards
- Advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports
- Staying up to date on pre-departure requirements esp around Covid rules
- Sending out tickets to clients
- Keeping clients up to date with any changes
- Dealing with complaints or refunds
- Meeting sales/profit targets
- Preparing and maintaining offers for window/website/Facebook (x20 offers per month)
- Maintain brochure stocks
- Concise communication with customers so they understand fully (jargon-free and easy to understand, esp around covid requirements)
