Journey there

Who did you fly with?
Virgin Atlantic

Did you get any connecting transport from the airport?
We had a driver pick us up from the airport and take us on the short 10 minute journey to our hotel.

How was the journey?
Good! - first time flying Virgin Atlantic. Food, service and entertainment all good!

Hotels

Where did you stay?
We stayed for 4 nights at the Virgin hotel

Were there any special features?
The hotel was a medium sized hotel by Vegas standards. Some of the facilities included, Casino, Spa, Fitness centre, 9 eateries, 2 bars, Coffee shop and a Theatre!

What was your stay like? Did you enjoy it?
I really enjoyed my stay, the location was slightly off the strip but still easily accessible by 5 minute taxi/uber or 30-40 min walk. The suites were very spacious and the pool had a great atmosphere.

Did you receive any special service/treatment?
We got upgraded to the Ruby tower suites which have a private check in area

Activities

Where did you go?
We spent 4 days exploring all the major do sights and hotel of Las Vegas We visited a total of 14 hotels and resorts – all unique and cater to all different styles and budgets. My favourite resorts were the Bellagio and Caeser's Palace

What did you see/do?
Lots! We did a helicopter tour over the Las Vegas strip at night with Maverick helicopters – definitely worth it for the views. This was conveniently located near the Las Vegas sign so we got a quick picture there! We did top golf – a new entertainment venue located just a 15 minute walk from the Virgin hotel – it is a driving range with a pool, cabanas and great food and drinks. We also visited the Sphere (another brand new entertainment venue) and watched ‘postcard from earth’ a multisensory cinematic experience. On the last day we did a zipline over Fremont street, which was a cool experience

Did you learn any fun facts or see anything exciting?
Fremont street is an experience in itself – lots of weird and wonderful things going on. I learnt that the Las Vegas loop, an underground transportation system is currently expanding, it will eventually connect the whole Las Vegas strip, Fremont strip and Los Angeles making it much quicker and easier to get around the city.

What was the weather like?
Hot! - around 30 degrees each day, although inside the hotels the aircon was quite cool

Any recommendations?
Definitely the helicopter over the strip, the zipline if you are feeling adventurous, and Ole red bar on the strip – especially if you like country music!

Food/Drinks

Any recommendations?
We ate a lot of food! We had hosted breakfasts in the Fontaineblue hotel, Virgin and in the villas at Caesar's palace, the later was amazing! They treated us to their in house made cronuts. We found a lovely family owned Italian restaurant across the road from our hotel – Ferraros – it is one of only 33 restaurants in the world to have 3 forks. We had dinner at Smith and Wollenskys steak house in the Venetian hotel on our last night – it was lovely. We had a cocktail in the Chandelier bar at the Cosmopolitan hotel which was lovely.
